  1. Modeling of levee breach processes with flow, erosion, and sediment transport, supported by Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Provinces, 2010-2012.
  2. Mechanism and modeling of non-point source pollutant transport during rainfall-runoff and upland erosion processes, supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2011-2013.
  3. Simulation of overtopping flow with head cut and sediment transport, support by the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry, 2011-2013.
  4. Transport of pathogens in variably saturated and non-homogenous soils, supported by Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China, 2010-2012.
  5. Early warning and decision support system for levee-breach disaster under the attack of storm surge, supported by Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, 2009-2012 (as co-principal investigator).
