  • The main root of the current Faculty of Engineering of Zhejiang University, Zhejiang High Industrial School, was founded in 1911.

  • Faculty of Engineering of the Third National Sun Yat-sen University was established in 1927. And the university was renamed National Zhejiang University.in 1928.

  • Since the outbreak of the War, Zhejiang University was forced to move from Hangzhou to Zunyi, and the Engineering moved back to Hangzhou in September 1946 after the War.

  • In 1952, universities in China underwent a nationwide reshuffling due to which the disciplines and institutes of ZJU were restructured and dissociated.

  • Faculty of Engineering was reestablished in November 2008.
